Profile: Adventures of Alison Gore

I believe that life is full of adventures and who does not like adventures? Some adventures can be ones of fun and games, but others can be dangerous. Well in Alison Gore's case, she recalls her past adventures as fun and games.

Alison was no more than a regular high school student just like some of us in here today. She attended North Myrtle Beach high school playing softball in her four years there.  In her free time she enjoyed going horseback riding on a nearby horse ranch, but the things she is most fond of is her family vacations, which often times were an adventure. On one adventure she went to Boone, North Carolina for white water rafting and canoeing. The water was cold and moving with rapids measuring on four to five scales. That's not small rapids. While getting all wrapped up in the experience of whiter water rafting, she soon realized that she was in the middle of no where in the mountains. Moving furiously down the river in ice cold water, not only did she white water raft down it, but she also canoed making the river feel a lot stronger and faster. Later in the week, she realized that she got a thrill of adrenalin from this experience. That being the case she her mom, dad, and sister went hiking to a waterfall high in the mountains. Once reaching the waterfall, Alison climbed to an open jumping, and yes, she jumped into that same ice cold water that she had been rafting down days before.

Her family soon realized the joy they get out of adventures, so they planned another trip. This time it was to Charlotte, North Carolina. Here they took part in rock climbing and sip lining. While she was rock climbing, Alison got to see inside taverns and old coal mines. Once they reached the taverns and coal mines, they hiked down them. Exploring the beautiful features of the earth and the old history of the coal mines. These are just some examples of things that she and her family take part in every year during Thanksgiving.

I think this just tells you that Alison is very adventurous and likes the rush of doing some what crazy, but at the same time not dangerous things. She is excited to see what kind of adventure her family has planned for this upcoming Thanksgiving. between all these events that she and her family have accomplished , I can only imagine what comes in her future years with her family.
