Security Vs. Privacy

Having also felt violated by airport security MonDesire and I are on the same page when it comes to believing searches can invade a person privacy, not to mention there "random" checks don't seem so random, and airport employees unfriendly demeanor adds to the discomfort and can make anyone think twice before traveling again. The level of privacy invasion is at an all time high when being searched, around thanksgiving of last year for instance a little twelve year old girl was taken back for a strip search and when she returned, after a long period of time, she ran to her mom with her eyes filled with tears, body trembling and the only words that could come out of her mouth was, "they did bad things to me." Whether or not those accusations were true for a twelve year old girl being striped down unwillingly feels like a bad thing and when her and her mother proceeded to complain to a supervisor all he said was, "I'm sorry I cant help you." And as for there so called "random checks," Brad found out they weren't so random in the year 2010. As he was waiting in line he could clearly see the men in blue uniforms picking out there prey like it was a game to them, he even heard one of them point at him and say "He's a chump lets mess with him." Sure enough brad was "randomly searched," and when he asked them why they chose him the response he got was, "Your going to the US so that means we can do what we want." Both instances brad and that twelve year old little girl were violated in some way and when they asked for an explanation all they got in return was blatant disrespect. So next time you go to the airport keep in mind your rights of privacy go out the window and security can apparently do as they please.
